Spanish Slate

Spanish slates come in a variety of different grades and qualities. At LBS, we differentiate between Premier and Commercial grades by offering separate classifications.

Whilst all quarries will strive to make the best selection they can, there will be a fall-out of material that, for whatever reason, does not make the premium selection.

These reasons can include (but are not limited to) dimensional intolerances, blemishes, imperfections in the slate or higher levels of iron pyrities.

An economical option in cases where premium selection is not a strict requirement and budget is more important.

Commercial grade Spanish slates are a lower cost than the Premium range but often require more sorting and grading on site, and have higher levels of wastage.

If you are considering Spanish slate and receive prices that seem "too good to be true" be careful your supplier is not falsely offering you the wrong grade!
