Described as 'Irish Palladian' in style this gorgeous house in Cultra Co Down is slated with Bangor Blue 500x300 slates.

The owners of the house Colin and Barbara Barry always wanted to build their own home and when a plot of land came up for sale in 2006, they leapt at the chance. Inspired by a mix of Roman Architecture and Art Deco design the house utilises light and wide open space over-looking Belfast Lough.

Both the roof and the large windows were a large part of the building cost, but Barbara and Colin had a clear idea of what they wanted and the quality of the materials to be used in the build.

The Bangor Blue slates were the perfect choice of roofing both in terms of reflecting the prestige of the build and ensuring that it stands the test of time in its exposed coastal location.
